The critical updates to the new EQUIPE RS shorts are a new textile and a new insert. The new textile, Type.911, allowed us to completely reengineer the cut, reducing the seam count and wrinkles while micro-adjusting fit across the legs and waist. It also let us eliminate the rollBar bib strap design, because Type.911 is more elastic and more compressive than the Type.441 used on the previous generation. Rather than merely suspended from bib straps, the S11 shorts envelope the rider’s body in omnidirectional, body-mapped stability. The entry into our Race Series, EQUIPE R combines technology from the EQUIPE RS system with simplified, everyday utility. The EQUIPE R is built with our signature A-Lock Engineering construction that adapts technologies from the WorldTour-proven EQUIPE RS. The ultralight TRAIL TACTICA High Performance Liner is built for breathability and durability. It’s also superlight, adapting technology like the fast-drying crochet elastic bib straps we use on our lightest production SUPERLÉGERE Bib Shorts. The bib straps are anchored by the zeroPressure Waist construction, which is also adapted from road equipment; however, we increased breathability by reducing it to a single layer and overall stability by extending it higher up the waist. TACTICA’s zeroPressure Waist is more breathable and more supportive, ideal for high-intensity rides on rough surfaces like gravel or singletrack. The bib short liners include the new OFF-ROAD HP T3 insert, which maintains the cooling airflow of the previous version but reduces friction while pedaling and adds plush comfort to absorb singletrack and gravel chatter at high speeds. The TACTICA includes three pockets, adding ride-extending storage capacity, and the pockets incorporate pull tabs to guide access beneath a jersey.
